The Red Lion

Always with three ales on tap, the pub also has its own gin.  ‘Red Lion Gin’ from Wessex Spirits is a fruity locally distilled gin infused with verbena to give it citrusy notes. The pub has a good-sized garden area, car park and a function room which is available for hire, with catering and entertainment provided.

About us

Landlords Victoria and David are not shy of trying new things to entertain customers.  They host a unique ‘Big Loud Shouty-Out’ quiz, a happy hour on Wednesdays where through shooting arrows, rolling dice or winning ‘Play Your Cards Right’ will win discounted and free drinks and they host a ‘potentially world famous’ meat draw and music quiz on Sunday afternoons.  The value of the prizes for ‘Meats & Beats’ are usually around £100 each week with meat prizes provided from local company, Turners Butchers.

Fridays nights are their free music nights, where local bands get to play each week.  There is a weekly chance win cash with ‘Chase The Ace’.  The Red Lion is also home to the monthly ‘Overton Karaoke Superstars’ event.
