The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the Overton Business Association was due to take place on Thursday 1st March at The Old House at Home from 7.30pm. Unfortunately, due to the snow and adverse weather it has been postponed now until Thursday 8th March - same time, same place! We invite all members to attend, as well as those who are keen to join.
As the OBA continues to change and grow, we are keen to build a strong and committed committee who will continue to support the development of the association. Committee roles include:
- Membership Secretary
As well as named roles, we would like committee members to take on supportive roles, perhaps leading on key events or as assistants for the named roles listed above. The more committee members we have the easier each role will become. If you are interested or have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the OBA or come along on Thursday and have a chat with current committee members.
The future of the OBA is very exciting. We are over 60 members strong now and have plans for continued growth and development of this website, Open Overton; creation of an new logo, something eye-catching and memorable; the design and publication of a ‘village booklet’– a full-colour leaflet advertising all that Overton has to offer; a revamp of the annual Late Night Shopping event at the end of the year and continued engagement with the wider community through social media and supporting local events, such as the Scarecrow Festival.
Do come along on Thursday to find out more.
Please note, membership fees for 2018-2019 will be due shortly.
